Analyst says the just ended parliament seating has been a mixed bag
Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam, Blantyre based Political analyst Latim Mtenje said the exemption of members of parliament and councilors from the 50% plus one is worrisome.
On the budget he said it was well articulated and covered all needs of Malawians.
However, Matenje has asked Democratic Progressive Party to sort out their differences regarding leader of opposition before the next seating.
Meanwhile, Matenje says the former president Peter Muthalika has shown bitterness in how he views June fresh presidential election, though he has accepted the will of Malawians over his.
On rebuilding Democratic Progressive Party, Matenje said “Muthalika should live to his words of holding a convention in nearest future if the party is to maintain its structures across the country.”
