Budget and finance committee of parliament has said the 2020 to 2021 national budget is unrealistic because it cannot be achieved due to hiccups the country is facing.
Chairperson of the committee Gladys Ganda said this in parliament when commenting on the 2 trillion kwacha budget.
” Tonse alliance government should come up with new figures that will achieve its plans in an estimated timeline,” says Ganda
Commenting on the budget DPP spokesperson on finance in parliament Joseph Mwanamveka said it is unfriendly to the business sector and not significant to Malawians as it does not include promises the alliance made during campaign.
Mwanamveka added that the debt which has been doubled will mount pressure on the country.
Therefore he advised government to put in place measures that will reduce debt warning if that is not done the country will have more financial problems
