432 bags of maize have been destroyed after a car caught fire in the wee hours of Monday 19th October in Dowa.
The accident happened at Chingondo Bridge as the car was coming from Mchinji heading to Monkey bay.
Upon arrival at the bridge the car caught the fire due to binding hence all bags were damaged.
The maize belonged to a businessman in Mchinji Elias Tennis.
