Government has appointed an interim general manager of Agricultural Development and Marketing Cooperation ADMARC Dr Jerome Nkhoma

This follows the suspension of its general manager Rhino Chiphiko because of procuring an expensive motor vehicle valued at 107 million kwacha

Secretary for agriculture Sandram Maweru says “Ministry of agriculture has seconded Dr Nkhoma who is director of department for agriculture extension services as an interim ADMARC manager until all issues surrounding the suspension are resolved by the board of directors.”

Chiphiko who was suspended on 20th May is expected to appear before the board which is chaired by Kusamba Dzonzi in 14 days’ time

Chiphiko bought the car as it was approved by the previous board but Dzonzi said the new board allowed the ADMARC manage to buy a cheap vehicle
