Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation Admarc says has put in place all measures to ensure that vendors do not take advantage of the reduced maize selling price.

This follows the opening of all its markets across the country where the maize is expected to be sold at 166 kwacha per kg though it was bought at 200 kwacha per kg

According to Agness Ndovie ADMARC spokesperson,” the body is expected to sell 133,000 metric tons of maize.”

Ndovie acknowledged that the maize has been heavily subsidized in order to benefit the poor.
