Al-barakah Charity Trust has said well trained Islamic teachers are paramount to development of Islam in rural areas.

This has been said during the closing ceremony of a two days refresher course for over 50 Albarakah muallims drawn from mulanje, phalombe and Thyolo districts.

Speaking during the closing ceremony on Tuesday in Mulanje, manager for madrassah schools for al-barrakah charity trust in mulanje

Sheikh Swaleh Chilundu said well trained madrassah teachers are very important to growth of Islam in Malawi as they entrusted to teach kids who are the future of Islam.

He however pleaded with Muslim organizations to welfare of sheikhs who are teaching in various Islamic schools across the country

Sheikh Chilundu advised the sheikhs who attended the refresher course to make use of what they have learnt so far and impart the same to their students.

“Please observe discipline in your work by following labor laws when they have grievances and follow proper channels to address the same,”sheikh Chilundu

He urged the teachers to create good working relationships with madrassah committees in their respective designations.

Sheikh Chilundu finally encouraged the sheikhs to always further their studies saying  some of them are young with brighter further ahead.

Speaking on behalf of the sheikhs who attended the refresher course, Sheikh Shaffie Ideni thanked albarakah charity trust for organizing the training and urged his fellow sheikhs to use the knowledge gained to drill their students.

The training focused on proper Quran recitation among other areas.
