Government assures Malawians of fuel availability during elections

Government has assured the nation that they will be no any long queues on filling stations during the elections, as fuel will be available before and after polls.

Minister of Energy and Mining, Ibrahim Matola, made the assurance last evening during a press briefing in Blantyre.

Matola said government has put in place all mechanism to ensure that fuel is always available in the country.

He further assured people in the country that they should not be bothered with speculations that there might be scarcity of fuel during the elections.

In his remarks Chief Executive Officer for Petroleum International Limited also Managing Director of Total Malawi Limited, Michel Malatino, said all oil supply companies has put their plans in place to ensure that there is no any problem concerning fuel during this crucial period.
