Hijab Task Force not moved by Anglican Church leadership’s sentiments

Hijab Task Force has assured Muslims in the country that it is not moved by sentiments uttered by leadership of Anglican Diocese.

The remarks come after Anglican Diocese of Upper Shire asked government to dissolve the task force claiming it is bringing confusion in the country.

But reacting to the sentiments, Hijab Task Force spokesperson Abdul-sallam Faduweck, said it is very unfortunate that such remarks are coming from people who are God fearing.

Faduweck reiterated that the task force was formed to encourage learners to dress according to Islam in schools and defend them from any oppression, therefore will be dissolved after achieving intended purposes.

Commenting on the matter that they are going to turn their schools into private ones, Faduweck said “Anglican Diocese is deliberately doing this in order to provoke Muslims.”

He therefore called on all parents to continue encouraging their girl children to wear hijab not only at school but all times.
