HRCC condemns Nyau for killing suspect

Human Rights Consultative Committee HRCC has condemned the killing of a suspect by Nyau cult

The Nyau cult slaughtered the man who allegedly stole a motorcycle of the deceased person while his body was not buried

According to a statement signed by the organizations Board chairperson, Robert Mkwezalamba and board member Desmond Mhango, “the act is disturbing and a total violation of human right.”

The organization has since asked police to investigate the people behind such a barbaric act.

Speaking in an interview, Desmond Mhango, called upon Malawi Human Rights Commission, Mozambican High Commission, Chewa Heritage and UN to probe the murder.
