HRDC to demonstrate against abuse of 6.2 billion kwacha covid-19 funds

Human Rights Defenders Coalition HRDC has questioned the exclusion of Malawi Defence Force and Malawi Police Service MPS in the 6.2 billion kwacha covid-19 audit report

This follows a report released by National audit office which shows that the funds were abused

At a press briefing Chairperson of HRDC Gift Trapence has given government 7 days ultimatum to arrest people who have been involved in the plundering of the funds failure which the coalition will hold demonstrations on 29^th April

Trapence said “whoever was involved in the stealing of the money should face the law and pay back the money.”
