King Muhammad Quran Recitation Competition selection held in Malawi

Majilis Ullamah Council of Malawi has described the establishment of King Muhammad the sixth Quran Recitation Competition as a milestone to the country’s Islamic development.

The chairperson for Mljilis Ullamah Council of Malawi Sheikh Mussa Matola made the remarks when he officiated the King Muhammad the Sixth Foundation for African Ullamah Quran Competition held in Blantyre.

“The introduction of the competition will provide more room for students to expose their skills,” Sheikh Matola says

He however pleaded with the Muslim Association of Malawi to put an extra gear in constructing more Islamic centres especially for the recitation of the Quran.

Speaking earlier Secretary General for King Muhammad the Sixth Foundation for African Ullamah – Malawi chapter sheikh Ali Kennedy said “the competition is meant to encourage more students to memorize Quran.”

One of the winners of the competition Qassim Muhammad from Salima district has appealed to Muslims to put him in prayers that he becomes a winner at the international level.

Three winners have made it to the international level expected to take place in Gabon this year.
