CSO’s Demand Finance Minister’s Resignation

Civil society organisations CSO’s have insisted that Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and development Goodall Gondwe must resign.

The CSO’s demanded the resignation during their meeting with Gondwe at Capital Hill in Lilongwe.

Their leader Timothy Mtambo said are not satisfied with Gondwe’s statements.

“We still demand the Minister to resign because what he did is corruption,” said Mtambo.

The meeting was organized after Gondwe and Local government Minister Kondwani Nankhumwa refused to bow down to the call by the CSO’s and many organisations to resign.

They called for his resignation after Gondwe and Nankhumwa had confirmed that they planned to share 4 billion kwacha among 86 MPs.

Gondwe failed to explain the source of the money.
