Muslims hailed for assisting the needy

Member of Parliament for Mangochi South Constituency has hailed Radio Islam listeners association for assisting the needy in the country.

Lilian Patel made the remarks in Traditional Authority Bwananyambi in Mangochi district.

Patel said religious groupings are very vital in promoting peace and harmony among citizens.

Therefore she urged faith groups to pray for the country as it is facing numerous challenges.

“Prayer can help to eradicate attacks on people with albinism, politicians castigating each other and killing just to mention a few problems,” Patel stressed

She therefore urged Radio Islam listeners to register in order to vote in 2019 tripartite elections.

Patel also asked them to participate in the population and housing census which will be held in Malawi from 3rd to 23rd September, 2018.
