Radio Islam Listeners Assist Health Centre

Radio Islam Listeners have donated to 53 patients and cleaned-up Ukalanga health centre located in the area of Senior Chief Chimwala, Mangochi district.

Speaking after the exercise chairperson of Chimwala zone village headman Lipende said they cleaned the Maternity ward to show ownership as government gave them the health facility to serve people’s lives.

Chief Lipende also said it was part of thanking workers at the centre for the good services they render to communities.

Commenting medical technician for Ukalanga health centre Daniel Masiyano commended the grouping for the program which has helped to promote hygiene at the facility.

Masiyano said the initiative is a result of the good working relationship between health workers and the community.

However he expressed concern over blackouts at the maternity ward therefore called upon stakeholders and well wishers to maintain the facility.
