MAM & Majilis Ulama complete Chichewa translated Quran review
Muslim Association of Malawi MAM in collaboration with Majilis Ulama have completed review of first edition of late Sheikh Khalid Ibrahim’s Chichewa translation of noble Quran
National chairman of MAM Sheikh Idrissa Muhammad says a group of eminent scholars under majilis carried out the exercise to ensure that the translation is accurate.
According to Sheikh Muhammad second edition of the translation is ready for printing.
He has advised those who might wish to reprint when it is out to seek written approval from MAM
The MAM stresses that “this translation must be printed in its true form without omission or addition of any content in the official print to preserve authenticity.”
Sheikh Muhammad says they plan on revising it in the future to ensure justice is done to the words of Allah the almighty.
Finally MAM welcomes any further observations in the translation for future review.
