Mutharika & MEC Lawyers Cross Examine MCP Witness

Lawyer of Malawi Electoral commission Tamanda Chokotho has cross examined witness of Malawi congress party in elections case Richard Chapweteka.

Judges of the constitutional court have been advising Chapweteka not to give information which is outside his sworn statement and posing questions to Chokotho.

Chapweteka said Chokotho was trying to confuse him in his questioning.

Chokotho repeatedly asked the court to scrap the opinions of Chapweteka.

But the court told him and all the counsels that “we are noting anything happening in the court therefore no need to ask us,”

Chokotho began the cross examination after lawyers of President Peter Mutharika and Malawi Congress party cross and re-examined Dr Lazarus Chakwera on Monday.
