Khonje said the increase comes following the rise in prices on the international market and depreciation of Kwacha

“We had to increase the prices because if the they do not match the procurement price, Malawi might not be able to procure more fuel as they might make loses,” Khonje

Following the decision, Minibus Owners Association of Malawi MOAM says will implement a 10% fee hike effective tomorrow.

MOAM national chairperson Felix Mbonekera said they have been left with no choice as previous engagement with government yielded nothing.
