MPs agree to end foreigners racism against Malawians

Members of Parliament MPs have agreed to end racism against Malawians by foreigners

MP for Mulanje Bale Victor Musowa presented a motion in the august house complaining that some Malawians are facing racism in some places owned by foreigners.

Musowa said racism and discrimination has been happening for a long time and people have been turning a blind eye on the malpractice

“The issue of selling land to foreigners anyhow should end so that Malawians can have access to their resources,” Musowa added

In his remarks Minister of civic education and national unity Timothy Mtambo said the issue has been politicized many years hence the need to fine better solution in peaceful manner

On his part Minister of Homeland Security Richard Chimwendo Banda assured the parliamentarians that “government will look into the issue properly and anyone involved in the malpractice will face the law.”

He called everyone who has been facing racism to report the issue to the ministry
