Parliament Asks NICE Trust to Submit Elections Report

MP for Likoma Islands Ashems Songwe has asked National initiative for civic education NICE Trust to submit its independent report on 2019 tripartite elections.

Songwe moved the motion in the national assembly saying NICE should present the report before the house passes 2019 to 2020 budget.

He wondered why NICE has not released the report as was the case in the previous elections

“As a public Truct NICE has a responsibility to inform the public about the elections,” said Songwe

He complained that there is no proper accounting of funds which NICE receives from government.
