Parliament budget meeting suspended

Budget meeting of parliament has been suspended following the death of one the officers of the house

Speaker of national assembly Catherine Gotani Hara has announced that the august house will reconvene on 6^th October.

Gotani Hara says “the business committee of the House has arrived at the decision to give ample time to honorable members to attend burial of late Lieutenant Bobby Mlongoti.”

Members of parliament have been debating the 2020 to 2021 budget since last week after a two week break when cluster committees were scrutinizing it.
