Second deputy speaker of parliament advises Muslim girls to fight HIV AIDS.

Second deputy speaker of parliament has urged students at Mama Khadija Academy and surrounding communities to fight against HIV AIDS.

Aisha Mambo Adams who is also Member of Parliament for Mangochi Mkungulu was speaking during the commemoration of World Aids Day at the Academy.

Adams said “adolescents and young women is the group that is mostly affected by the pandemic therefore girls must abide by all means of preventing the virus.”

In her speech Dr Halima Twabi medical director of Mama Khadija clinic who is also organizing committee chairperson said they thought to commemorate the day in order to remind girls and the community that AIDS is real hence the need to take care.

The commemoration was held under the theme communities can make a difference
