Several Parastatl Boards reconstituted

Government has reconstituted boards of directors for various parastatal institutions whose tenure expired and appointed new members of other boards

They include Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority MERA, National Food Reserve Agency, Blantyre Water Board, Northern Region Water Board, Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Council for National Herbalium and Botanic gardens

Comptroller of the statutory corporations Peter Simbani says the reconstitution of the boards of directors is with effect from 6^th, 11^th, 13^th and 16^th April

Simbani says government is confident that the newly appointed boards of directors will provide sound strategic leadership and effective oversight to enable the respective parastatals deliver on their mandates efficiently and in the public interest.
