FEDOMA requests government to resolve special needs teachers concerns

As special needs teachers stay away strike has entered a second day, Federation of Disability Organization in Malawi FEDOMA has requested government to engage the concerned parties in order to resolve the issue.

FEDOMA executive director Simon Munde said the issue is jeopardizing education of special needs students in the country.

Munde said it is depressing that special need students are the ones suffering the most due to disturbances in the school calendar.

“At a time we were advocating to extra lessons for the special needs students to catch-up for the lost time, it is sad to note that the efforts are being drained,” Munde

Speaking in a separate interview, chairperson of the concerned special needs teachers Macferson Chalemera said will not back down till government take the appropriate action on the matter
