HRDC tells Tonse government to deliver promises
Human rights defenders coalition HRDC has told Tonse government to deliver promises it made during campaign to Malawians
The coalition has said this as the country is celebrating first anniversary of constitutional court ruling on presidential elections case which was delivered on 3rd February 2020
HRDC national chairperson Gift Trapence and national coordinator Luke Tembo say Malawians voted for change because they had good reasons for doing so
“This should be a lesson to government that Malawians will no longer tolerate nonsense from their elected leaders,” Trapence and Tembo
They add that Malawians have expectations and aspirations that the Tonse government promised to make them realize
Trapence and Tembo say HRDC will not seat and watch Malawian people’s trust getting betrayed by greedy politicians
They stress that the best way to reward Malawians is by delivering what Tonse government promised them
