Private school Directors to demonstrate over school closure

Concerned private schools directors have warned that they will take to the streets should government fail to open all schools in the country.

Government among other measures of preventing the novel Covid-19,closed all schools in the country in March 2020.

Speaking to radio Islam, chairperson of the grouping Coxley Kamange said they have written President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to consider reopening schools by 1st June.

“The closure of schools has negatively affected learners, parents and school owners.

“The learners will be more protected from Corona virus in schools unlike the current situation where most of them are just loitering around,” Kamange said.
