Truck drivers boycott work over COVID-19

Truck Drivers have boycotted work so that government should give them risk allowance and necessities to prevent corona virus (COVID 19)

Speaking in an interview, one of the members of Truck Drivers Association (TDA) Mba Ndaduka said the drivers are very important in the transportation of goods and economic growth.

Therefore Ndaduka has urged government to act on their recommendation before the situation worsens.

“Our lives are at risk as we transport goods to and from other countries that are hit by the pandemic,” says Ndaduka

He explained that the association has been writing to government asking it to give them corona virus preventive materials such as face masks.

We tried to hear from government spokesperson Mark Botomani but he did not answer the call
