By-elections Launch 6 October

Malawi Electoral Commission MEC has said will launch by-elections in Lilongwe South Constituency and Matenje Ward in Kasungu during stakeholders’ meetings on 6^th October.

Chief elections officer Sammy Alfandika says the launch will take place at Malingunde and Chulu Teachers Development centres from 2 o’clock

“During the meetings, MEC Commissioners will present electoral calendar that will outline timelines for the activities to be implemented in the run up to the by-elections,” Alfandika said

He also says stakeholders will be given opportunity to ask questions and seek clarifications on issues regarding the conduct of the by-elections.
