Chakwera Left for South Africa

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has left the country for South Africa on a two day visit.

Speaking at Kamuzu International Airport Chakwera said will hold bilateral talks with the country’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa, on substantive areas of corruption.

The president also said he will discuss the benefits of ex-miners who worked in South Africa.

Meanwhile, political analyst Sharif Kaisi says the president should also use this opportunity to discuss about the end to xenophobic attacks that people from other African countries continue to face in the country.

Kaisi says these attacks have the potential of affecting the bilateral relations among African countries.
