Experts Discuss 2019 MSCE Results

Education stakeholders are discussing challenges that prevented many form four students from passing 2019 MSCE examinations.

The four day Memoranda Workshop comes after different stakeholders blamed abolishment of Junior Certificate of Education examinations and the curriculum on the failure.

Speaking MANEB Chief Executive Officer Gerald Chiunda said his organisation believes in accountability hence the call for the workshop which has brought assessment tools used in examinations for the participants to critique them and come up with solutions.

“Assessment plays an important role in enhancing quality education as the systems are able to identify strengths and weaknesses,” Chiunda says

He adds that it is intended to analyse examination question papers, the marking schemes and responses that candidates gave out in national examinations.
