Islamic Commission for Justice and Freedom has urged Public Affairs Committee PAC to call off Thursday’s demonstrations for electoral reforms bill.
Speaking during a press briefing on Wednesday in Blantyre, ICJF director Abdulrahaman Ajasi condemned the faith based organisation for resorting to demonstrations on the issue rather than dialogue.
“Electoral Reforms Bill is very important to the nation but enough time is required for the public to understand it,” said Ajasi
He then urged Malawians to unite in ending blackouts.
Ajasi also criticized president of Malawi Congress party Dr Laxarus Chakwera for his comment on the speech president Mutharika made when he was opening parliament.
