PPDA Sensitises Media On New Procurement Act

Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority PPDA says the new Public Procurement Act will help to bring sanity among procurement officers in public institutions.

This has been said when PPDA sensitized the media on the law in Blantyre.

In an interview after the meeting acting director of PPDA Timothy Kalembo said “the law has incorporated penalties for public officers involved in procurement.”

Kalembo added the law was amended after noting that it had a lot of flaws.

The new public procurement Act was passed in 2017 by Malawi Parliament.
