Malawi Introduces Cancer & Malaria Vaccine

Ministry of Health has said will introduce cervical cancer and malaria vaccines in January and March next year respectively.

Speaking in Salima during media training on the immunization project Austin Makwakwa acting deputy director of preventive health services said responsible for health education services said the vaccine will help to protect Malawians from cancer and malaria.

Makwakwa said they thought of training journalists on immunization projects as they are very crucial in spreading information about immunizations which government introduces.

In his remarks, Evance Mwendo EPI officer said Malawi has been responding well to immunization for the past years.

Malawi is also constructing cancer clinic in Lilongwe in order to deal with the deadly disease.
