Security Guards Arrested Of Fuel Siphoning

Police at Kanengo in Lilongwe are keeping in custody three security guards manning Puma deport for siphoning 500 litres of diesel.

According to deputy public relations officer for Kanengo police station Salome Zgambo Chibwana the robbery occurred on 3rd June, 2019.

Chibwana says Kennedy Nkhoma, Andrew Manford and Aubrey Kafachilambu are security officers hired from a certain security company to guard at Puma deport.

“During the night they connived with vendors who siphoned the diesel in one of the Tunkera registration number MZ996 valued to 440, 000 kwacha,” said Chibwana

They were seen on CCTV cameras carrying gallons of fuel.

“Kennedy Nkhoma 23 hails from Kapinya village TA Wimbe in Kasungu, Andrew Manford 36 from Muwalo village TA Njolomole in Ntcheu and Aubrey Kafachilambu 55 from TA M’mban’gombe in Lilongwe district,” Chibwana added

All of them have been charged with theft by servant.

So far police are still hunting for the vendors who connived with the guards in siphoning the fuel.
