Concerned citizens petition president to fire ACB director

Concerned citizens have delivered petition to Public appointments committee of parliament PAC against ant corruption bureau director Martha Chizuma

Speaking to radio Islam after presenting the petition one of the organizers Redson Munlo said they have asked President Chakwera to fire Chizuma for violating her oath of office in a leaked telephone conversation

Munlo said “if the president does not remove Chizuma in seven days they will hold vigils at Kamuzu mausoleum next to parliament building.”

Receiving the petition on behalf of PAC Chairperson Arthur Chipungu said will present it to the committee

Some Malawians also dragged Chizuma to Mzuzu High court over the leaked conversation in which she also faulted the president

Then Police summoned Chizuma on the matter but suspended the interview after some organizations criticized her summon.

After the leaked audio president Chakwera did not fire Chizuma after various groups spoke in support of her and asked the president to do the same
