Activist Kalindo Re-arrested

Malawi Police Service MPS has re-arrested activist Boni Kalindo for his failure to honour bail conditions in a case of publication of false news

This follows a warrant of arrest issued by Lilongwe Senior Resident Magistrate Court which MPS obtained

Public relations officer for MPS Senior superintendent Peter Kalaya says Kalindo will appear in court on Monday 18^th September.

Kalays says Kalindo on 20^th July 2021 said he knew people who were involved in the murder of persons with albinism but did not mention their names when police asked him

Meanwhile one of activists Levi Luwemba has condemned the arrest of Kalindo saying that it a clear violation of the constitution which allows the citizens to express their grievances to government.
