Chakwera inspects Shire Valley Transformation Programme

President Lazarus Chakwera has inspected Shire Valley Transformation Programme, Kapichira Hydro Power Station and Illovo sugar estate

Once completed the Shire Valley Transformation Programme will help in irrigation farming while Kapichira Power Station in electricity generation

During the inspection officials of Shire Valley Transformation Programme and EGENGO explained to the Chakwera on the progress of the two projects

Chakwera will also visit Illovo Sugar Estate and later hold a development rally at Nsangwe Community Ground in Chikwawa district.

Kapichira Hydro power dam was damaged by cyclone Ana in January hence losing 129 megawatts of electricity generation
