First Vaccine Factory in Africa opened

Construction of the first vaccine factory in Africa by German Pharma Company BioNTech has opened in Rwanda

BioNTech said the facility is expected to start producing the vaccines by early 2024.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame said the groundbreaking is a historic milestone towards vaccine equity.
