Gift of the Givers Foundation donates K11.5m materials to combat Cholera

Gift of the Givers Foundation has donated 11.5 million kwacha non-medical materials to five health centers in Blantyre city to combat Cholera.

The donation comes days after government appealed for support in the fight against cholera outbreak

Speaking to radio Islam after handing over the non-medical items to Bangwe Health center, Gift of the Givers Foundation Nutrition and Health Officer Regina Nthala said “the organization has also donated the items to Gate way clinic, Ndirande, and Makhetha health centers.”

Speaking after receiving the materials, Bangwe health center in-charge Kelita Mwangalika said it is a timely donation as the facility is lacking chlorine and other essential items for the fight against cholera.

Mwangalika revealed that Bangwe is heavily affected by the outbreak since most people use unprotected water sources
