Government introduces Buy Malawi Strategy

Government has urged Malawians to change their mindset on the quality of local products for Buy Malawi strategy to yield fruits.

Public relations officer of Ministry of Trade and Industry Wisikesi Nkombezi has said this as five monthshave passed since the launch of the strategy.

“So far government is satisfied with the pilot phase because Malawians are embracing the idea,” said Nkombexi.

However, he concurred with the public that some Malawian products are expensive although they are of poor quality.

Nkombexi added that people in the country should realize that buying locally made products does not only promote Malawian industry but also create jobs for the citixens.
