Mangochi Town Council Cancels Relocation of Bicycle Taxi Operators

Mangochi Town council has called off the relocation of bicycle taxi operators from tarmac road to designated routes on 2nd April, 2018.

Speaking to Radio Islam, chairperson for Mangochi town council Ibrahim Kachea said they have cancelled the relocation after MP for Mangochi central Clement Chiwaya and Minister of Information Nicholus Dausi criticized the council for introducing the idea.

“The council will go back to the drawing board and discuss the issue,” Kachea said

However, he said the council has a mandate to implement any policy.
