MBS Launches New Strategic Plan

Director of Planning in the Ministry of industry, Trade and Tourism has said government will make sure that Malawi Bureau of Standards MBS work within its new five year strategic plan.

Francis Zhuwao said this during the launch of the 2017 to 2022 strategic plan at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre.

Zhuwao said the plan is in line with government’s MGDS-3 for developing the industry.

“Government commends MBS for coming up with the new strategic plan. We will ensure that the plan is implemented as it has a monitoring section,” said Zhuwao

In his remarks, board chairperson of MBS Amos Action said the 5-year strategic plan will improve the bureau’s operations

Amos assured Malawians of quality imported and exported products as well as timely certification of companies.

Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) is the National Standards Body for Malawi, responsible for the preparation and publication of Malawi standards.
