MCA Malawi registers remarkable progress

Millennium Challenge Account MCA Malawi says there is remarkable progress in the implementation of its 350.7 million dollars project that is expected to be finished on 20th September 2018.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam, MCA Malawi Communications and outreach director, Zilani Khonje said they have almost completed all the power projects which will improve power generation, transmission, and distribution in the country.

“This will address some of the constraints in the energy sector, which include infrastructure development, management of weed and sedimentation along Shire River,” Khonje said

The MCA communications officer has also hailed community members living along the areas where the construction was taking place for their cooperation.

She however, bemoaned the tendency of some members who were deliberately delaying the construction works at Phombeya in Balaka.
