Minister asks the youth to venture into entrepreneurship

Government has asked young people to venture into entrepreneurship in order to boost Malawi’s economy.

This has been by Minister of Labour, youth, sports and manpower development Francis Kasaila when he presided over the Trade Fair organised by Center For Free Market Enterprise in Zomba.

The labour Minister said the youth should not only look for white collar jobs.

“Young people constitute highest percentage of the country’s population and are energetic therefore their involvement in business can have positive impact on Malawi economy,” Kasaira said.

In his remarks managing director for Center For Free Market Enterprise, Peter Yakobe, said they thought of organising the trade fair in order to give a platform to companies to showcase their products and services.

“Business community can reach and increase customers if they exhibit their products,” said Yakobe.

The trade fair which took place at Zomba Community Center Ground attracted different companies from Zomba.
