Workers at Malawi Posts Cooperation MPC are on strike to force management improve their working conditions

Public relations officer for MPC, Aida Mkolimbo cited delay in remittance of pension funds, salary payment and an increase of 40 percent salary increase as some of the issues that have caused the strike.

In an interview with radio Islam Mkolimbo says “the issues were presented to management which has been engaging in discussion with the workers union.”

Recently chief executive officer and chairperson of the board of Malawi Posts Cooperation told parliamentary committees that it has debt hence planning to sack some of its employees
