The Mzuzu University (Mzuni) students for 2015-2019 intake have delivered their petition to Capital Hill demanding the school management to hold graduation ceremony for the grandaunts before the end of this year.

According to spokesperson for the students Isaac Kapito, they are failing to secure jobs and apply for further education despite the completion of their studies because they do not have their degrees yet.

Kapito added that they have petitioned to seek intervention of state President Dr Lazarus Chakwera who is chancellor for all public universities in the country.

Receiving the petition, Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Chikondano Mussa, assured the petitioners that the authorities will look into the matter.

Meanwhile, the students have said that they will again conduct demonstrations should the authority fail to respond to their grievances Friday next week.
