NRB launches Dolo amalembetsa Unzika campaign

National Registration Bureau NRB has launched Dolo amalembetsa Unzika campaign to encourage the youths to register for national Identity Cards.

Speaking during the launch NRB chief Director Mackford Somanje said they have launched the campaign after finding out that many youths are not registering for the cards.

Somanje said every youth aged 16 and above should register for the ID from August this year.

“NRB has introduced penalties that will be imposed on the youth who will not register,” disclosed Somanje

In his remarks UNDP chief technical advisor Taliq Maliq said there is need to consider the youth who were left behind in the registration of adults.

Maliq said they will also launch child registration project this year.

Commenting managing director of HD Plus Creations Gift Sukali said “we have been involved in the campaign to produce messages that will encourage the youth to register for the national IDs.”

Sukali said will engage the media and travel across the country to sensitise the youths on the importance of the registration.
