Police arrests illegal miner

Police in Mulanje are keeping in custody Chisasa Tungamire 51 for illegal mining

According to Vital Majawa, a forest ranger in the district they apprehended Chisasa when they were on patrol duties in Mulanje Mountain

They found the suspect with a bag of minerals thought to be Quartz which he had dag in the mountain

Meanwhile arrangements are in course to take the minerals to Geological Survey department for examinations

Tungamire hails from Makwete village TA Nkhumba in Phalombe district
