Religious leaders hold prayers against fainting of girls

Religious leaders in Mangochi district have held prayers following the fainting of girls at St Augustine 3 Full primary school.

Chairperson of the school’s parents and Teachers association Madalitso Simwaka said the prayers were held because on Friday last week 10 girls fainted but medical reports showed no infection.

“The whole school has been affected,” said Simwaka.

Commenting one of the Islamic scholars Sheikh Saidi Chikwana described the fainting as an attack from satan.

Sheikh Chikwana said such kind of attacks mostly happen on people with weak faith.
