SUGAM To Establish School

In a bid to give back to the community, Sudan Graduates Association of Malawi (SUGAM) says it plans to establish a school to help it realize funds for smooth implement of its set activities.

This has been revealed during its annual general meeting held at Kameza in Blantyre.

Chairperson for the grouping, Rajab Jafar, said among others the fund will help to raise fees for 50 students that it will enroll on it bursary list.

Currently the association is paying for 7 students and according to Jafar the money is from the members’ monthly contributions.

He also revealed that registration of the association is at an advanced stage as it is waiting for the approval of the Justice Minister.

The association established in 2012 has over 300 members.

Jafar has therefore requested the members to renew their commitment to help promote activities of the association

In his remarks, Jazim Msosa board member of the grouping said is impressed with the operations of the association and looking forward to more charity activities.
