Teenager robs Malawi government
An 18 year old man who stole government motor cycle in Mangochi has been arrested in the district.
Mangochi deputy public relations officer seargent amina tepani Daudi said Tomeki Imedi committed the offence when the watchman left Chiponde health centre to attend to his sick wife.
“The motorcycle worth 1.8 million kwacha was parked near outpatient department but few minutes later he discovered that it was missing,” said Daudi.
She said during their investigation the general public told police officers that they saw unknown person riding the motorcycle heading to Mkwamba in Mozambique.
“Police arrested Imedi the following day and recovered the motorcycle,” Imedi added.
Tomeki Imedi comes from Minyanga village TA Bwananyambi in Mangochi district.
